Registration
Registration is made via the electronic forms on our website or by email.
Participation fees
Participation fees for seminars, further training courses, conferences and similar events do not include accommodation and catering costs. Any deviations are stated explicitly in the respective event description.
Our participation fees are exempt from value-added tax pursuant to § 4 para. 22a UStG (German VAT Act).
Standard price
The base price stated at finder-akademie.de applies to all seminars.
Reduced fees
Persons with a low income and low assets may, upon individual application, receive a reduction of the participation fee for all seminars and other events. In addition to personal details, the application should briefly describe the current income and asset situation. Upon request, this information must be provided in writing.
Payment due date
The participation fee is due for payment at least two weeks before the start of the event.
If registration for the event takes place later, the fee is due upon receipt of the registration confirmation. For professional training and further training programmes, the event fee is due on a pro-rata basis before each module. The exact payment terms are set out at finder-akademie.de; deviating payment terms for individual events are named in the respective event listing.
Accommodation
Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation.

Cancellation and withdrawal from an event
Cancellation or withdrawal from a seminar must be made in writing – by email or by post – and will be confirmed in writing by us. The following provisions apply:
1. Individual events (one to seven days)
Withdrawal or rebooking up to four weeks before the start of the seminar or event: a handling or rebooking fee of EUR 25.00 becomes payable. If the event fee has already been paid, it will be refunded within four weeks after the cancelled event, less this fee.
Withdrawal or rebooking within four weeks before the start of the seminar or event: a refund of the event fee – less a handling or rebooking fee of EUR 25.00 – will only be made if the reserved place could be taken by a person from the waiting list or if a replacement participant is provided by you. Otherwise, the full event fee is payable, less any expenses saved by FINDER. This also applies to short-notice cancellations due to illness or to termination of participation in the event.
The participant retains the right to prove that actual expenses were lower or that the cancellation of participation is due to a breach of contract by FINDER. Reimbursement of expenses is also not necessarily payable if participants from the waiting list can take up the place. The cancelling person has the right to name a replacement participant who will enter into the contract and assume the rights and obligations arising from it. The entry into the contract is only effective if the entering person declares this in writing to the institute before the start of the seminar.
2. Professional and further training programmes
Applies to all offerings listed as „professional training" or „further training".
Withdrawal or rebooking up to four weeks before the start of the seminar: if the registration is cancelled within fourteen days of receipt of the participation confirmation, a handling fee of EUR 25.00 will be charged. Otherwise, the cancellation or rebooking fee is EUR 50.00.
Withdrawal within four weeks before the start of the first seminar module: a refund of the event fee less a handling fee of EUR 50.00 will only be made if the booked place could be taken by a person from the waiting list or if a replacement participant can be provided by you. Otherwise, the full event fee becomes payable. This also applies to short-notice cancellations due to illness and to termination of the professional or further training by the participant.
Note on seminar insurance
We recommend taking out seminar insurance.
Cancellation by the organiser
Should we, for important reasons (e.g. illness of the event management or insufficient number of participants), be forced to cancel the seminar – even at short notice – we are obliged to refund the full event fee. Further claims against FINDER do not exist.
Under-enrolment of seminars
In the event of under-enrolment of an event, we reserve the right to shorten the overall duration of the event while keeping the content unchanged. For events with planned double facilitation, we reserve the right to staff these with only one of the designated facilitators. In the event of a changed facilitation of a seminar, participants have an extraordinary right of termination.
This termination may be declared to the organiser up to seven days before the start of the seminar by email or by post. The time of receipt of the declaration by us is decisive. A declaration received later is only effective if the participant proves that they received our notification late and that the declaration of termination was submitted immediately after becoming aware of it.
The decision as to whether under-enrolment exists will be made by us no later than ten days before the start of the event and communicated to participants without delay, indicating the intended changes. Claims against FINDER for a reduction of the event fee do not arise in either case.
Liability
FINDER and its legal representatives or vicarious agents are only liable in the case of gross negligence or intent; the same applies to other persons (assistants), insofar as FINDER is required to be held accountable for their conduct.
Physical and psychological stability of participants
Each participant is responsible for their own physical and psychological suitability for our respective events. Participants undertake to observe all additional instructions provided by us in this regard.
Liability for impairments of any kind as a result of a participant's lack of suitability or failure to follow instructions is, as far as legally permissible, expressly excluded. In the case of ongoing medical treatment for physical or psychological illnesses, please inform us and submit a certificate from the treating physician confirming fitness to participate.
Ethics agreement and note on self-experience
For participation in individual offerings and seminars, FINDER reserves the right to conclude a separate ethics agreement. Our seminars, further training courses and conferences provide knowledge transfer and self-experience at varying depths, but are not a substitute for therapy.
Carpools
We assume no liability whatsoever for travel to the event location, including in the context of carpools arranged between participants. Internal liability arrangements between the participants of such carpools remain a matter for them alone.
Insofar as travel contract law applies, our liability is limited pursuant to § 651a BGB (German Civil Code) to a maximum amount equal to three times the event price. Any further exclusions of liability remain unaffected.
Invoicing and payment
For fee-based further training courses FINDER e.V. issues an invoice after confirmation of the registration and sends it as a PDF by email. Payment is made exclusively by bank transfer to the account listed under "Payment terms and bank details". The payment term is – unless otherwise stated on the invoice – 14 days from invoice date and no later than two weeks before the start of the event. We do not accept credit cards, PayPal, direct debit or other payment methods.
Right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal applies exclusively to consumers within the meaning of § 13 BGB (German Civil Code). Entrepreneurs within the meaning of § 14 BGB – in particular schools, sponsors, institutions, public authorities and associations booking our further training courses for their operational purposes – have no statutory right of withdrawal.
Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal for contracts concluded exclusively by means of distance communication (online registration, email):
Withdrawal instructions. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day of conclusion of the contract (receipt of our registration confirmation). To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (FINDER e.V., Schützenstraße 6A, 10117 Berlin, email info@finder-akademie.de) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse you for all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw from this contract. For this reimbursement we use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you.
Expiry of the right of withdrawal (§ 356 (4) BGB). If you have expressly agreed that we begin performance of the service before the end of the withdrawal period (the event starts within 14 days after contract conclusion), your right of withdrawal expires upon full performance of the contract by us. We will point this out expressly in the confirmation of registration. For the period up to the withdrawal we may claim reasonable compensation.
A model withdrawal form is available on request by email. Independently of the statutory right of withdrawal, the cancellation and withdrawal conditions set out above continue to apply.
